Jenny's Golden Globe Picks

This first one isn't so much a prediction as a promise. If Sarah Jessica Parker wins for "The Family Stone" over Reese Witherspoon for "Walk the Line," I'm going to vomit. And then I'm going to write a really long, vitriolic post about how the Golden Globes are even more meaningless than I thought. In fact WALK THE LINE BETTER WIN EVERYTHING IT WAS NOMINATED FOR. I better see Joaquin on the cover of next week's Us Weekly holding a trophy and smiling. Or somebody is going to be sorry.

Just had to get that out of the way. Now for the rest of my picks. Brokeback Mountain is going to win everything it's nominated for. I didn't see it yet, but everybody seems to love it, and it has a lot of momentum. So Brokeback Mountain for Drama, Actor-Drama, Director, Screenplay, and, unfortunately, Michelle Williams for Best Supporting Actress. Sorry to everybody who likes her. But I just don't.

Other Movie Awards: Felicity Huffman for Actress-Drama; Paul Giamatti for Supporting Actor-Drama.

In terms of TV...I guess the big question is which Desperate Housewife will win. My guess is it's going to be Eva Longoria. I think she actually has an edge because she wasn't nominated last year. The show better not win for Best Comedy. It sucks this year. I'm guessing the award will go to My Name is Earl. Actor? Um.....I'm guessing Jason Lee, although probably Steve Carell deserves it. I just started watching the American Office and I think it's great. In terms of drama, I'll guess Grey's Anatomy...although it doesn't at all deserve it. But neither do any other shows in the category and at least this one has Patrick Dempsey. I dont' even have an opinion about all the stupid "mini-series" categories. Boring.

I'm a little torn between rooting for Joaquin and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Capote.

Shar Jackson is on E! right now giving "us" a lesson in handling paparazzi. Ummm. I don't want to make Shar feel any worse than she probably does when she wakes up every morning, but just HOW MUCH paparazzi does Shar have to dodge?

Actually, I'd have to say of all the women who've gotten mixed up with k-fed, she's probably sitting pretty in relative terms...I mean, she's rid of the dirt bag, and she gets checks from Britney as well.

She did do maternity. It's weird with these stars. One day you can't tell and the next they're huge. Look at Gwen Stefani.
