Our New True Love

In honor of Valentine's Day, we thought we'd share with you the new love of our lives. If you can turn on the Shamu Cam and actually tear yourself away, there is something wrong with you. Yesterday, we watched for one and a half hours straight. No joke. It's the most mesmerizing and sort of creepy thing ever. If you go there at around 7 or 8 Eastern time, you can actually see the whale do a show from underwater. It's so awesome. A close second is THE OUTER BAY CAM. You learn a lot. Yesterday, Jean learned that barracudas are not land animals.

Jenny: Oh, look! There are the barracudas! Scary!
Jean: No, those aren't barracudas. Barracudas live in Australia, I think. They are like little wolves or something.
Jenny: Um, no, Jean. They're fish.
Jean: Um, no, they're not. I know that for a fact.
Jenny: Oh, really? Well, why don't you Wikipedia that "fact" and get back to me.
[Time Lapse: 30 Seconds]
Jean: Oh.

Jean's Take: The Shamu cam brings joy to my day. Slightly creepy at first, but cute later! You might want to watch with someone at first (please feel free to call jenny or me). It's so much more fun that way! I will admit, i did and still think that barracuda's are land animals. I'm going to check with my brother to see if he too has this misconception. Then i can rightfully point the finger to one of the parental units.

I want to thank you for giving me another diversion during the day to keep me from doing my actual job. I just spent 20 minutes watching shamu and friends.
